My first shot at blogging

 So, this is my first blog. I used to write when I was younger and have been needing a little something to relieve some stress lately. Therefore, my best friend suggested a hobby. Well, what do I like to do? Hmmmmm.....I like to work. However, this is supposed to be my break from that. So we came up with the idea that I could blog. It tricks my brain into thinking I am working because I am still on my laptop. And, I can only hope that I can give my audience a good laugh about some of the random things that happen in my crazy world of a workaholic, single mom. 

I don't really take vacations so I talked myself into visiting my brother and sister - in - law in Chicago for a few days. Don't tell him but I have secretly been answering work emails. Right now, since he is a teacher, he's on a zoom meeting with a student, I figured what better time than to start my new hobby. 

Ok, I picked a blog site. And I am trying to figure out a theme and how to use this site. Wait, he's on camera. What if I put on a sign that said "I am your teacher's sister", and picked my nose in the background? Ok fine I am supposed to be blogging. Hang on while I check an email and watch this snapchat from my daughter....Ok, email replied to and apparently the little girl my daughter babysits has a really disgusting nasal drip. Back to blogging. 

So, my family could potentially read this so I am fighting the urge to be myself and make it a little raunchy. Since I fully intend it to be mainly silly out-takes from my life and I am a single person living in an online dating world, don't worry I am sure it will get there eventually. Right now, I will keep it simple, especially since this is my first one. Once I check my Facebook dating page I may have a little more to share. Which photo should I use for that? I feel like if they should know the real me but my guy friends say this is why I am still single.

    Well, considering the first photo looks like there are strippers in the background, I would go with the second one. Unless you want a date who pulls out a wad of singles in the middle of it, saying, "Um, when are we going to get this party started?" Besides, at your age, you can't waste time. I say just let them see the real you.

 All I really want, what I really really want (in my best Spice Girl voice), is a man that will cuddle with me when I want, sleep with me when I want, handle the fact that I am independent, have a career and have kids, be able to be completely emotionally available and just be here when I want him. Wow did I really just say that? I have been single several years with the exception of a few short lived, failed "relationships". I pretty much just put my focus on work and being a good mom. If my children are reading this please agree and I will transfer the funds today I swear. With that being said I figured I would take you all back to a few years ago when my friend Tiffany thought it would be a good idea for me to join the online dating world and swore that there are good guys still out there.
